Slow the Recession & Depression - CUT TAXES!

The best way to stimulate the economy is to make it less expensive for small and mid-sized businesses to operate. This stimulates capital investment and employment. More business means a higher GDP (Gross Domestic Product) which means more taxes collected, even at lower rates.

Stop goverment CASH stimulus programs - they devalue our currency (the dollar), raise taxes and/or increase the public debt. Public infrastructure projects have tangible benefits to the US, but they don't have the bang for the buck needed to restart the economy.

Under FDR numerous pubic works programs were implemented increasing employment but the Great Depression in the US lasted from 1929 through 1942. The Depression didn't end until the US was actively engaged in World War II despite huge infusions of cash to build vast public works projects.

We still benefit from the public works projects of the 1930's especially in our National Parks, but it was the post-war Eisenhower era Interstate Highway Program the really had a great payoff for a public works project by speeding internal transportation of goods and people within the United States.

Stop the creation of massive NEW government run welfare, healthcare, and charity programs - the USA doesn't need a new ONE TRILLION DOLLAR inefficient goverment program.

What is to keep the new healthcare reform program from having as much 'reported' waste and abuse as is quoted for MEDICARE and MEDICAID? With over 50 new agencies, committees, and working groups planned for this 'reform' it just creates MORE GOVERMENT ADMINSTRATIVE OVERHEAD and EXPENSES that the TAXPAYER must pay in the form of NEW TAXES.
