Freedom Index
Dear Elected Representative and Senator,
"The Freedom Index: A Congressional Scorecard Based on the Constitution" is published twice a year by The New American magazine. The third "Freedom Index" was published in the July 9, 2012 issue of The New American and is available as a free PDF download at:
http://www.thenewamerican.com/ files/Freedom_Index_112-3.pdf
Each issue of the "Freedom Index" scores all 435 representatives and all 100 senators on ten key votes based on their adherence to constitutional principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, national sovereignty, and a traditional foreign policy of avoiding foreign entanglements.
A score of 100 percent means that a congressman voted correctly on 10 out of 10 key votes. A score of 0 percent means that he or she voted correctly on 0 out of 10 key votes.
Please take a look at your score for this latest "Freedom Index" by going to the link above. If you got 100, or even 90, thanks for the good job. However, a score of 90 or below means you voted incorrectly (according to the scoring criteria of the "Freedom Index," of course) one or more times.
COMMENT: The Individual or the State? Where do your Congressmen stand?
