Why is there a fascination among many supposedly educated Westerners with communism?

Why do people wear shirts with the hammer & sickle, pictures of Lenin or Stalin?

Why do people NOT consider COMMUNISM an evil (like they do with National Socialism or Nazis)?

There is no real difference between these two extreme ideologies that enslaved, warred, and murdered not only their own people but those in neighboring countries and around the world.

President Ronald Reagan spoke truthfully and accurately when he called the Soviet Union the 'Evil Empire'.

It is amazing that despite the facts and the end of the 'Cold War' many 'intellectuals' still speak, write, and profess support for the communist system.
