Virginia vx. Maryland

The Great Divide - Maryland vx. Virginia: More than a river runs through them.
Essay by Michael S. Rosenwald and Toma Jackman
Excepts from the article (VA vs. MD) - pages 8-15:
Population:
8.1 million vs 5.8 million
Registered Firearms (2012):
223,000 vs 82,000
Violent Crime (2011: Instances per 100,000 people)
214 vs. 548
COMMENTS:
Virginia with a much LARGER population, THREE TIMES the registered guns, but less than HALF the crime of the gun-controlled state of Maryland.
Gun Control only limits honest citizens - criminals prefer states where honest citizens can NOT defend themselves...it is 'safer' for the criminal... Gun control advocates cite victims of homicide by gun as examples to follow, but victims of armed criminals are beyond their understanding (i.e. they don't care about vicitms of crime).
PS - using the same convoluted statistical logic preferred by gun-control advocates....
