NPR's Claudio Sanchez brings us this bit of bad academic news: The class of 2012 scored the lowest average SAT reading score since 1972. A bit of good news is that math scores were up....

COMMENT: Maybe kids don't focus on reading (or writing) because it isn't required to text, Twitter or use Facebook? Another thought, rather than "No Child Left Behind" it should be "Most Children Fall Behind"? More classroom hours, less physical education and recess/organized-play appears to lead to obese and not very literate children, adolescents and young adults.......
