Venezuelan mayor pits mimes against motorists
"Mayor Carlos Ocariz of Sucre, Venezuela, hired 120 mimes to enforce traffic laws. The gaudily dressed mimes issue silent rebukes to motorists who drive dangerously or jump red lights. "Many times, the mimes can achieve what traffic police cannot," says Alex Ojeda, head of a foundation that trained the mimes. FoxNews.com (10/9)"
COMMENT: Tax dollars of Venezuelan workers putting unemployed 'mimes' to work. It is really just fraud, waste and/or abuse. I hope none of our leaders get a similar 'great' idea.
